Teddy Chakee

Counsellor & Facilitator

Teddy is a Ph.D. candidate in Peace and Conflict Studies and holds an MA in Counseling Studies from The University of Durham in the United Kingdom. He has a deep passion for workplace mental health and a solid background in humanitarian work with over 25 years of experience providing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) for staff members working in conflict and post conflict regions.

His specific expertise includes trauma prevention, treatment and recovery, and staff care and wellbeing programs which include on-site training and facilitation, workplace counselling, stress management, personal resilience strategies, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for refugees and staff members working in volatile regions.

Over 23 years, Teddy has been widely consulted as a staff care expert by some of the most reputable international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) working in conflict and post-conflict regions, including Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan, the Republic of Sudan, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He has  also been widely consulted to design therapeutic outfits for urban and camp refugees and displaced persons.

Teddy is based in Kenya.
