Miriam Sawyer
Head of Operations
Miriam graduated with a BSc in International Disaster Engineering & Management from Coventry University. Following her degree she remained in the Midlands for 3 years, supporting women in prostitution and those with drug and alcohol addictions, to tackle these life controlling issues.
She met her husband Matt shortly after University and together they moved to north London where Miriam spent 5 years working for the international relief and development organisation Tearfund. Whilst at Tearfund she worked in various roles within the Supporter Relations Team and then within the Asia Team, supporting the 2015 Nepal earthquake response.
In March 2017 Matt and Miriam welcomed baby Jemima into the world and so Miriam is joining Thrive fresh from maternity leave. Appreciating the many challenges faced by individuals working on the frontline, Miriam is excited to be joining Thrive and connecting these individuals with health and wellbeing services that will enable them to flourish.
Miriam is based in the UK.
