Mimi Breneman

Psychotherapist & Facilitator

Mimi Breneman is from Argentina and from several other places. She is a Licensed Mental Heath Counselor working from a Narrative Therapy perspective, an approach that equips us to tell our stories in transformative ways.

She has nearly 30 years of professional experience starting in Argentina, where she worked with young adults and families at a General Hospital and coordinated a non profit Family Center.
In the United States, she was a bilingual Clinician at a mental health clinic supporting people from immigrant communities and got her license and training in Narrative Therapy in Massachusetts.

Now in Costa Rica, she has developed Espacio Pausa, an entrepreneouring project that helps people to grow in personal wellbeing and relationships. She also teaches Counseling and facilitates workshops.
Mimi has experience working with Debriefing, Conflict Management, Transitions and Cultural Adjustment. She also enjoys participating in community projects and growing through cross-cultural experiences.

She is passionate about nature, from gardening to camping in the mountains, likes board games and cooking without a recipe. She lives with Jim, her partner in life, adventures and dreams.

Mimi is based in Costa Rica.
