Kristen Guskovict

Psychotherapist & Facilitator

Kristen Guskovict is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has dedicated her professional life to supporting refugees, human rights defenders and other people in need, through direct service and by supporting those who care for them. Through individual and group counseling, team building, organizational assessments and program development, she has worked with a variety of organizations, from those as small as a local Bhutanese Community Organization to those as large as the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

Kristen has worked in many different contexts including Ukraine, Bangladesh, Greece and Burkina Faso. She is committed to helping people heal from and move through challenging or traumatic experiences. Kristen uses a variety of trauma informed approaches such as: EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Experience Therapy.

Kristen holds an M.S. in Global Affairs with a concentration in Humanitarian Assistance from New York University and an M.S.W. from Florida International University. Beyond her professional experience, she is an active member of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Association of South Florida, the National Association of Social Workers and the New York University Alumni Association of South Florida.
