Pete

On behalf of the wider Thrive Team, we wanted to acknowledge and share with you the recent sudden passing of our dear friend and colleague Peter Hopkinson.

Before retiring earlier this year, Pete was our Chief Operations Officer. He was part of the founding team, alongside Leanne Marega and others, and he brought his extensive experience of start-ups, leadership, financial management, systems and IT. His legacy lives on in our organisation through the countless fingerprints of his work behind the scenes.

Pete was passionate about us and our mission. And he modelled so many things we believe in and prioritise. We wanted to share with you a few of these, as a way to honour Pete and his legacy:

1. Relational: Pete loved so well. He cherished his wife, Alison, their 2 children, and a newly born grandson. He was family first, and a great friend and colleague to all of us at Thrive.

2. Generous: Pete was so generous with his time and what he had. He constantly opened up his home to our team (and many others) and we enjoyed countless barbecus, dinners and cups of tea with him. He would also have time for everyone that reached out to him, be that a team member or client.

3. Authentic: Pete was the same person at home, at work, at his church, at the gym and at the local high street. He lived in the present moment, and always thought the best of people. He was calm, patient, and just said it as it is.

We will miss him deeply, and our thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family and friends.
