Claire Kwon
Travel Health Nurse
Claire trained as a nurse in Northern Ireland, working in Respiratory Medicine before moving to London to complete the Diploma of Tropical Nursing at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. While living and working in London, Claire loved the multicultural vibe and so ended up staying for almost 17 years. In those years she worked in an Infectious Disease Unit, led a Community Tuberculosis Nursing Team and completed her Nurse Prescribing course before moving into Travel Health Nursing. Claire nursed with Interhealth and then with the charity Tearfund, assessing and equipping volunteers for their overseas travels. Claire now works with Thrive Worldwide, delivering Health Briefings and supporting people both in the UK and further afield to be healthy and resilient in their roles and missions. Claire is passionate about seeing people Thrive in the Church and Charity sectors so they can lead and serve their communities as happily and healthily as possible.
When Claire is not nursing, she is found running around after her 4 small children or drinking coffee somewhere with friends.
Claire is based in Northern Ireland.
